Transportation
Students attending Tiffany on a Zone Transfer are ineligible to ride the bus. General Education (Grades K-6 ONLY) students living in the Tiffany area must pre-register online to ride the school bus annually. After online registration, students can ride the bus the next day. Please let your child's teacher know if they will ride the bus. You can visit the district’s Transportation page online to register – you will need your child’s 6-digit student ID number. Students living in the Tiffany area may ride the bus at no cost if they live at least the following distances away from school:
- Kindergarten = ¾ mile
- 1st grade = 1 mile
- 2nd & 3rd grade = 1 ¼ miles
- 4th-6th grades = 1 ½ miles
For safety, Kindergarten and 1st-grade students are accompanied by school staff to and from the bus on Elmhurst Street. If an adult is present, kindergarten students will only be let off the bus at their home bus stop. Otherwise, they will be returned to the school, and parents or guardians must pick them up. It's recommended to arrive at the bus stop five minutes before the expected arrival time. If your child won't be riding the bus on a particular day, you can pick them up from the Kindergarten gate at dismissal time. It's recommended that you send a note to your child to inform the teacher. Kindergarten bus riders will be loaded onto the bus unless parents meet them at dismissal time at the dismissal gate, as staff cannot take verbal instructions from a child.
